Title: Adorable illustrations, but a bit short

Review: I have a book club for my niece and nephew, and every month or so I buy them a book and read it on video. Since I have fond memories of Richard Scarry scratch and sniff books, I decided to find one for them, too. The Richard Scarry ones are out of print now, so I settled on this. It's merely "okay".

I'll start with the positives. The book is nice and sturdy, with a good hardback cover and board book-style pages. The illustrations are also super cute. Unfortunately, the book is extremely short and only 4 of the inner pages have scratch and sniff spots. The cover also has one, but I suspect it will wear out fast since it's on the outside. I didn't actually scratch any of the stickers because I didn't want the scent to wear off. I could smell a faint scent on each one, though, and they did seem close enough to the real thing. A super-sniffing wine expert might take issue with the quality of the scents, but they're definitely good enough to convince a 3 or 4 year old.

The phrasing is a little odd in places, but I do like that the book uses a few "big" words like "delicate" and "sensible". A lot of little kid books are overly simplistic, but I like to see one or two harder words thrown in. It gives you a great chance to teach a new word and give it some context.

Given the low price, I would buy this again - but I do wish I could have found a slightly longer book with more opportunities for scratching and sniffing.

Review: I gave this a 3 only because it is cute. BUT, I ordered this and there was literally no scent on the scratch and sniff areas. I requested a replacement which came within 2 days and again, No Scent! Then I read the other reviews and realized I should’ve done that first. Apparently roughly 2 people received one that actually had scents. This scratch and sniff book, which is absolutely not a scratch and sniff book, would’ve been a 5 star and worth the price if it wasn’t a lie.

Review: My grandson is a 3 1/2 yr old special needs child. He LOVES his Dinosaurs books. He has his mom and dad read at least one of the books to him every night. I have purchased 6 or 8 books to begin his collection. The lessons given through the dinosaurs point of view are so easily understood. There are many children who learn differently. By reading these books over and over with my grandson Gabriel, he has become more aware of others and their feelings at a time when he was unable to comprehend "others feelings" due to his sensory issues. Thank You for writing these Dinosaur Books. I will continue to purchase the books for my grandson as I know there are others geared for children a little older than he is now. Title: Good book, scratch & sniff isn't the best.

Review: Our 2.5 year old likes it, but it definitely isn't his favorite scratch and smell book. Some scents aren't great or accurate, and there arent too many. Story is good though, teaches kids a bit about manners. Books like that have been great for teaching our son.

Title: Perfect for dinosaur and cookie lovers

Review: Our 2.5 year son loves dinosaurs and cookies so this book was perfect for him. I liked that it rhymed and was a good length for story time. When I ordered it, I didnt realize that it was a scratch n sniff so that was a nice surprise. It also includes cookie recipies in the back of the book, but we haven't tried those. Overall great read and great quality boardbook, nothing negative to say about it.

Review: We loved this book so much after checking it out at the library that we purchased a copy for ourselves! Great book, fun illustrations, and cute rhyming to talk about good manners. :) The smells for the scratch and sniff don't always smell like what they claim to be, but the book is great on its own, so the smells are just a funny bonus. There are even recipes at the end for two different kinds of dinosaur cookies! We seriously love this book. :)

Review: My 2 year old is in love with our old scratch and sniff books from when I was a kid and it carries over to this new book too. I wish that there were more recipes in it. There are two and that is a start. This was a great Christmas Eve present this year for our annual cookie baking with grandma.
