Review: This book is EVERYTHING! For women who have ever questioned their relationship with Christ, or ever doubted themselves into believing the lies the world tells us, or even a woman who just wants to know that there are other imperfect women in the world like them that Christ LOVES anyway... this book addresses it all! I love how the author included thought provoking discussion questions at the end of each chapter, giving you a chance to actually reflect on ways Christ has used our brokenness for (His) glory. And the heavy reference of scripture throughout was a plus for me because it kept me engaged with God’s word by actually opening my bible and seeing for myself yes God really did say that! Lol. I think a book like this is so important especially with today’s societal pressures to be perfect/flawless, and pressures to accept whatever standards the world sets for us. Jesus loves us and all of our flaws and his standards for our lives should be what we stand which is a clear message I received from this read. I encourage any woman, even ones like me who are not avid readers (terrible I know) to check out this book for themselves! I loved it

Review: I typically hesitate to read new authors, because I want to be sure I'm reading Christian material that is Biblically sound, but when I saw that Emily Ley endorsed the book, as well as a few other note worthy speakers and authors like Susie Shellenburger and Kat Armstrong, I figured it was worth a try and I loved the cover and the title of the book. So, I dug into the first chapter and I was absolutely hooked! I had to make myself stop reading in the middle of chapter 5, just to eat and take a break. I'm so, so glad that I gave this book a chance!

The book is full of personal stories. Very honest and very genuine. I really feel like I know the author personally and so many things I could relate to even though my life is so much different than hers. It's like she really knows and understands women, in general and she's very passionate about Jesus. That is evident in every page. She's been through some rough times in her life, before and after Christ, which I thought was wonderful to share because being a Christian doesn't guarantee that life will be smooth sailing. She focuses a lot about God's goodness and that we don't have to prove anything to Jesus that we can just be real and honest and raw with the Lord about who we are, where we are and our feelings, hopes, frustrations and joys. My favorite chapters were chapters 1, 3, and 8. She really gets down to some meaty things, but it's not super spiritual- like the common "baby" Christian can understand what she's talking about as well as a mature Christian can gather lots of wisdom from her stories. I also LOVED all the SCRIPTURE she uses! She's not just throwing out her opinion. She backs practically every point with a few scriptures. It's a well written book! Very relatable, very genuine and very current. I highly recommend this book for people who are wanting to understand Salvation from a different perspective- like from the perspective that God isn't looking for you to prove your faith but He is really looking for women who are just relying on His love to make a difference in their hearts. There is so much confusion about perfection and so many pressures about what a REAL CHRISTIAN is suppose to do and be and look like. This book addresses these issues and so many more: dating, marriage, friendships, enemies, sex, purity, salvation, fear, growing in the Lord. She addresses the issues of life in such a lovely way! I will be buying another copy for my sister! Her website is really cute as well! I strongly suggest this book!

Review: I usually don't leave reviews and quite honestly I don't always enjoy to read however, I could not put this book down! McCain is a fantastic author! I did not know what to expect before opening the book. It's been hard for me to relate to women in the church becasue I don't like the idea of a "cookie cutter Christian." God has been speaking to me recently about transparency especially in the body of Chirst because He already knows my heart. This book was CONFIRMATION! It ministered to my spirit on so many avenues that I might need to read it again.

What I really appreciate about the author is how she shared her story and was honest about her testimony. In this book she lets us know, "This is who I am and here are all of my broken pieces." I love that authenticity! There were times when I was in moments of black sliding and felt that I couldn't be used by God. This book reassured me that God loves me where I am! That God is not please by what kind of show I can put on but He values my heart and love for Him. The author communicated her vision very well. Thank you s much for blessing your sisters with this book!

Review: WOW!!! This book is packed with so many layers and powerful take away points for the reader. I had no idea what to expect when I first started reading but I was so amazingly surprised about how genuine, vulnerable, and loving Katrina was with her words and stories. This book represents her true passion and commitment for encouraging women to pursue God's heart. Often times so many young girls and women struggle with "being good" and doing everything right that it consumes what we think about ourselves which often times negatively impacts our decisions and relationships. This book was such a great reminder that there is forgiveness and hope in Jesus. I found myself crying through most of the chapters (especially Chapter 3) because I could identify with so many of the topics and struggles Katrina talked about. I ended this book with such a refreshing and better understanding about God's love for me and that I can present myself to him just the way I am.

I am not a big reader and it usually takes me months to read one chapter. But, I literally read this book in 2 days because I could not put it down!!! My favorite part about this book is that not only is it a great and easy read, Katrina shares so many relevant and powerful scripture to support her stories and points. I love that she gives spiritual guidance by using the word of God and not just her own opinions. Also, each chapter has discussion questions for the reader to ponder and examine. I thought this was a clever and helpful way for me to reflect and pray about the content I was reading. This book can serve as an awesome bible study for women to discuss with a small group.
