Review: Gives a good understanding of Joseph Pilates and his concepts. Interesting reading on the training of a child in regards to posture and physical activity. Some sections are a bit hard to follow but that is just the technique of the writer. Review: This is an important work to read because it reveals very clearly the mindset of the author, Joseph Pilates. Many people claim to be his disciples, but this is an excellent guide to separate the wheat from the chaff.
I rated this lower than 5 stars because of the weak layout. Publishing techniques have improved a lot since this was origionally published. Also, because of the age of the text, it is stilted. Most of Mr. Pilates' ideas, radical at their time, are commonly accepted today. His contributions to health are valuable beyond measure.
