It covers all the major commands, with discussions of such matters as the UNIX file system, the vi and Emacs editors, printing, administration, etc. I would have liked to see more details about the differences between the various UNIX flavors in current operation.

Review: This book will no doubt be on the shelf next to my desk for the rest of my life. I have been a Unix/Linux user since 1999 and this is by far the best reference book available. I have specifically bookmarked the SED/AWK, Background, Uniq, and Word Count pages. In fact this book is so cheap when purchased used you could afford to give one as a gift to almost every "computer person" you know. Anyone getting started in Unix/Linux should certainly read this book. Time and time again I pull this book off the shelf for 10 minutes to solve a problem. This is essentially the swiss army knife of IT books.
