Review: Firstly: I'm still in the middle of reading this book and so these are my first impressions. I've been enjoying the read so far. I'm just a regular person who deals with day to day issues from time to time at work and home etc. I could really relate to the author's story which is both entertaining and has many teachable moments. Unlike some other kinds of books on spirituality (which are great in their own way) this one has been refreshingly approachable and an easier read for me personally. No shoulds, no musts, no preaching. Just an honest heart to heart share that made me feel that if she could grow spiritually then so can I. Thank you for sharing your story.

Review: Not much that is useful to me as an atheist. Though meditation practices can certainly be nonreligious, this book focuses on the ecstatic forms of meditation in search of "enlightenment." Most of the book describes a religious journey as the author's path of change. Little on actual application to life outside a religious context. Would likely be useful to those people with belief in some sort of higher power.
