Review: This book makes it quite hard to get excited about the recipes. There are 10 pictures of the recipes including the front cover. With 75 recipes total, thereโs barely any pictures for these so when reading through them itโs hard to gauge what they look like or how they will taste. Some of the recipes are so simple that they almost shouldnโt have been included. For example there is recipe for French Frys and it called for 2 ingredients, potatoes and salt. I get this is a beginner book but this seems like a beginner to all cooking not just plant based living. And being that it is a beginner book, that makes it so much more crucial that there are pictures to show off the recipes.

Review: I started this lifestyle due to my health. I have RA and a friend recommended I go plant-based. I started about three months ago. For the first time in ten years, my fingers do not hurt! I am feeling better and stronger each day. I am no longer taking my medications. When starting this type of a lifestyle, it can be easy to wonder, "What can I eat?". This cookbook simplifies the plant-based diet, complete with a shopping list and sample menu. The first section of the book explains why we should live a plant-based lifestyle. Gabriel does a wonderful job explaining the benefits as well as tips on how to cook without oil, eat at a restaurant and an "Instead of this, eat that" section. There are fabulous pictures throughout the book that will make you excited to start cooking! This cookbook has not only opened my eyes to what I can eat, but has shown me that this lifestyle can be enjoyable! I would recommend this book to everyone! You will not regret it!

Review: Gabriel Miller (Plant Based Gabriel) overcame his struggles with weight and health by researching and eating a Whole Foods, Plant Based (WFPB) diet. I first heard about him on Facebook, where his recipe blogs came up often and wasted no time in subscribing. Many of those recipes are here in this book. Most of his recipes are SOS (no salt, oil, or sugar), gluten free, and nut free. Those that aren't, have options to fit your needs. I adore that he has recipes for condiments and sauces, main dishes, snacks, and let us not forget desserts! He gives information as to the what, why, and how to eat this way. I'm not a beginner to this way of eating (WOE), but I love having a handbook at my disposal (did I mention recipes?) I preordered both the Kindle version which is out at the time of this review, and the hard copy. Kindle version is easy to use and the links work great! Looking forward for the hardcopy next week and it will make great Christmas presents!

Review: I did a quick skim of this book. It has a ton of information for new Vegans. The recipes look amazing. Each recipe says the serving size and gives the nutritional info which I love. I also appreciate that the ingredients are common and most can be found at local stores, a few could be ordered from Amazon if you live in a smaller area. I would feel if I gave this book to my 80 yo mom she would understand exactly what vegan is.

Review: This book has it all for those just starting out on their wfpb adventure to those of us who have been there for awhile. It's easy to read and the layout is exceptional and pleasing to the eye.Gabriel's recipes look delightful (and doable), and he lists calories per serving and nutritional values for each recipe. I'm starting with the Kindle version but will get the hard copy too because I'm still of the old school ;-)I highly recommend this title and look forward to more from Mr. Miller!
