Review: I started crying at the "Introduction". I guess I was caught off guard by my need to know that Jesus had words for me, a parent in 2019. (Ironically, one of the things he has to say is, "Don't cry.") Parenting by faith makes relevant connections between scripture and parenting. With deep insight into scripture that I've "known" but hadn't fully understood, Pat Batten, a gifted story-teller, shares from her own parenting journey. Parenting by Faith is a must-read for parents of every age and stage. It speaks truth to the faithful, the fearful, and the failures. It is a needed reminder that our children are safe in the hands of their maker, and that we can trust Him with our kids. It reminds us of the many times Jesus met parents in dire straights, what he had to say to them, and that he is saying the same to us today. It encourages us to cling to the many hope-filled messages. I highly recommend this book! (and a box of tissue on the side)

Review: Highly recommend! This book is a must read for everyone caring for a child. Pat Batten masterfully provides fresh insights on familiar Biblical stories. This book is brimming with wisdom and thought-provoking content that fuels introspection. It’s bubbling over with humor and heartwarming stories. This gem is authentic, real, from one parent to another. Full of practical tools and guidance, I know I’ll be returning to this book again and again.

Review: Wow! Who knew the Bible had so much to say about parenting, that Jesus had such a powerful message to parents. Patricia Batten relays a great timeless message for anyone with children in their life. This book is an easy read and everyone is sure to take something away from it. We live by faith and now we can understand parenting by faith. I highly recommend this book.

Review: I was introduced to this book at the perfect time in my life. Being a mother of a teenage son, the challenges are daunting and seem endless. Pat Batten’s book is extremely inspiring and gives me a lot of hope to know that I don’t have to deal with raising my son single handedly. Trusting Jesus and parenting by faith, even if it’s the size of a mustard seed.

The book is an easy read, Pat connects with you on a personal level, she’s brutally honest about her role as a mother, and has deep insight into the Bible, that I have overlooked so many times reading it, especially as a parent. This book is must read for everyone who plays a role in a child’s life. It’s simple, enriching, hilarious, and heartwarming.
