Review: This is a really heavy book. It hurts my hands to take it in and out of my school bag. Thankfully my school is using this book for 2 semesters so I am getting good use of it. With regards to the content: I really appreciate all the examples the writers give. There are a lot of diagrams, back stories, real life situations, and great discussion questions. I also like how each chapter ties in with FASB codification and IFRS regulations. Supposedly they have a website where you can get more examples but I'm not sure if my school paid for all the extra things. The only thing I have access to is the quizzes & slideshows. This can get frustrating when the text clearly gives websites you can enter to view additional information.

Review: I actually really enjoyed using this textbook during my Intermediate I and II accounting classes. Yes, chapter lectures are pretty dense and complicated but are accurate and will give you a true taste of financial accounting. What I really found helpful were the practice questions (brief exercises, exercises and problems) which, when used along with the answer key, ensured that I was practiced and ready for all of my intermediate financial accounting exams. FYI, I got A's for both of my financial accounting classes :)

Review: Love the loose leaf style of this book. It makes it so much easier to work with than the bound text. You can just take the chapters with you that your are currently studying and leave the rest at home for reference later. Only warning I can give (and it has nothing to do with the seller, they were great to work with) is that the self tests on the publisher's website contain errors. Some of them do not have a correct answer to the question (they are true/false and multiple choice). A couple of them had a correct answer to choose from, but when the test was corrected on-line you were marked as incorrect, but the answer that they listed was the answer that you had indicated. Good Luck with your accounting classes.

Review: Riddled with typos (both in the text and in example problems!!), grammatical errors and just plain too wordy. This textbook is not worth the price or lack of flexibility in how you can buy it; this is the 21st century- stop pretending that ebooks aren't a thing. Many concepts assumed to just be common knowledge are not and lead to a great deal of confusion and the time-consuming chore of re-reading over and over again. Concepts are explained using twice as many words as what is truly necessary. These guys just have overinflated egos and wanted you to overpay to listen to them ramble.

Review: I really enjoyed this book. Of all the accounting textbooks I've come across, I think this one is particularly well-written (clearly written), effective organization, the intro real-world references/story in every chapter clearly links in class learning with what is currently happening or has happened. Of course, with a subject this complex and size, it isn't going to be perfect...I didn't say it is a perfect textbook. For the most part, the authors explain things really well. As a student, you actually still have to study and do more research when needed.

Review: Great textbook!-Clearly lays out the material in a way you can understand-Great visuals to supplement learning-Lots of practice problems-Great relation to modern day businesses and their accounting practicesGranted, there are some minor imperfections. I also wish they included answers to the exercises (however this is pretty standard in textbooks). This book is HUGE! Walking to class with this book will replace your back-day at the gym.

Review: This was for my third accounting class. The book is kind of hard to understand. It will reference methods in future chapters that you have not learned yet. The instructions on the different depreciation methods were very poor and vague. I found better explanations on Youtube. I found myself doing this quite a bit during this class.

You will learn journal entries for balance sheets, income statements and tons of other material that is relevant to everyday business. Bought this for class but still use this book at work ( currently working at a Big 4 firm)
