Review: Having benefited from Stedman Graham's writings on brand-building and identity in the past, I was excited about his new book IDENTITY LEADERSHIP. It didn't disappoint. The book is all about the reasons why if we truly want to be a great leader and enjoy real success we have to know who we are and be able to keep from allowing others to define us. As he puts it early on in the book "true leaders are looking to make a difference and to fulfill their mission in life and business."

That is important to remember because leadership is not just handled in our personal lives. It's something that becomes a part of who we are. By sharing Abraham Maslow's findings in his paper "A Theory of Human Motivation" we are reminded in this book that what should separate us is the ability to be humble, assertive in our beliefs, grateful and focused while being reminded that we are not perfect.

Keeping these things in mind will help us not to give in to procrastination and stay focused on our big picture.

So much about this book covers every aspect of our lives, thus making us more effective in our families and ultimately in our business. In typical Stedman fashion there is WORK for us to do, questions to answer about ourselves that will help us to see where we are and how we can begin to turn things around. If we are willing to do the work, though, the results will show for themselves in us and those we encounter.

Review: "Identity leadership is self-leadership." This is a straight-to-the-point book, filled with tools for personal growth, development, and improvement in every area of your life. This book is easy to read (with summaries, personal questions), but it is also "meaty", with many actionable ideas. I especially like that this book is research-based. The author's goal is to get you to take accountability for your personal development. The only issue with this book, like any self-help book, is actually implementing the strategies in your own life. Review: Mr. Stedman Graham has done it again! This is officially my favorite book of 2019! I have read it 2 times already in one week! The information and advice he gives is worth so much more than the cost of this book! I have waited since 2012 for him to release another book. This book is worth the wait! Plus the title is so epic " Identity Leadership: To Lead Others You Must First Lead Yourself!" This book informs you how to do that and so much more! I have read all of his other books and they are all amazing but this one is my favorite! Everyone should read this!

Review: It’s only 3 simple steps to identity leadership. Sounds simple enough and as the Chinese proverb goes a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step, for identity leadership it’s a long journey which is why we need 3 steps!

Apart from the 3 steps which is the ongoing mantra there are multiple other how to guidelines to help drive and guide you on your journey. Infused with stories and anecdotal real life experiences this book is a great companion at both the start and during your identity leadership journey

Don’t hesitate just get it and read it

Review: This is a nice book to read, if you are able to look at yourself from a perspective of just being. It is a book that will help you grow if you listen. I love Stedman, he has a lot of nice stories and anecdotes of success in this book.

I met him once while I was teaching at an elementary school in Houston, Texas. He is very down to earth and nice.

Review: This is a good read for young leaders and those starting careers. A lot of people do not understand the importance knowing their strengths and weaknesses and identifying people who can provide skills where they are weak. Also knowing how to follow your ideas and adapt quickly to changes is important for leaders.
