Review: The story definitely takes a turn. Our characters are dealing with so much at this time. The third book starts were the second one ends. We have a whole group of new characters added to the mix. There seems to be danger lurking behind every corner. Yes, there are times in the story it gets confusing but I am very hopeful all will be explained in due time. We get to learn about Darius a bit more during this story. We see how our characters are ever evolving throughout the story. Our characters it seems have a long road go go and they seem to be just as in the dark as we are as we are trying to figure out the full blown mystery. It is pulling us deeper and deeper into the story with all of its glorious drama, suspense, mystery, and romance. Yes, our characters have a little time for romance. Since this is part of a series you will definitely want to read the first two. The series is definitely worth reading and is such a gripping story that is completely original.

Review: Wow!! What a cliffhanger I wasn't expecting that at all. I will say this much I absolutely enjoyed this book, however I had lots of questions and very few answers. This book does pack lots of information into it that makes you reference to the previous books so you can get a better understand of the story. But at that point I was really annoyed with Marcella. Beside that I enjoyed the intensity and how the plot thicken with every book in the series. I still have no idea about which side is bad and which one is worse!!! Look forward to seeing what else is in store for this series.

Review: Honestly this series is such a fresh turn for supernaturals. I love it. The story is beautifully written but there are some scenes that make you feel like you missed something major but it’s too late to try to go back and figure it out. You just gotta catch up and put two and two together. Other than that, I really recommend this series.

Review: While I love this series and most of the characters the whole Arthurian legend thing kinda is ruining it for me. First she makes it seem so ancient and such, but Arthur was approx. 1500 years ago. Not that ancient in the grand scheme of things, especially as she makes it seem like Darius is younger but he's from ancient Rome... Which ended ~300 years BEFORE Arthur. Other than that I love the series and can't wait for more.

So, I’m really digging this series and the characters so far. Things started to get a bit off the rails with the rapid fire changing of the group dynamic. It seems very fishy to me that the main character, Marcella, is always acting out of character if that is exactly how she’s been acting for the whole serious now. I don’t believe you anymore. She is either normally erratic all the time or you are lying that she is usually the pinnacle of cool, calm, and the smartest in the room. I don’t feel like she is the alpha sixth of the group at all. So either really make her some smart member of the team instead of just saying so or let her be some dramatic damsel who will get pregnant very young in her immortal life during a very unhelpful time of conflict.

Talks of kids made me uncomfortable and I found myself skimming to the end of the book to see if this was going to be yet another story that derailed some epic story with the surprising yet somehow completely inevitable development of babies for a 20 year old immortal. Like dude, let her be amazing and smart and singular- you don’t have to make her fall pregnant to make the book interesting or for drama or tension. You are effectively cutting off the current story at its knees at that point and shifting it to a “I must protect my vulnerable mate who used to be powerful from danger and not let her be included in anything for her own safety”. And then have the mate be ruffled by the overbearing nature of her alpha mates. Read that, seen that, was saddened by that too many times in these fantasy novels. It’s boring and I hope it doesn’t happen here.

I will keep an eye out for the fourth book but I’m no longer excited to devour it like the books before.

Title: Okay, what is going on

Review: So, I loved this tory in the first two books. First book, easy concept to follow: vampires, shifters, druids, day and time walkers, and shadow weavers exist, among some other magical skilled creatures. Vampires seem to be incharge and also seem to mate with other creatures, creating half breeds, which seems to be a no no. The males end up in brotherhoods tasks teams. Female vampires become the 6th to brotherhoods. Easily concept to follow.

Storyline follows Marcella wanting to find her brotherhood and of course there as those who are trying to stop her because people suck. Second book, she had found her brotherhood, she is bonding with them and it looks like she is super powerful, awesome. It also looks like she has a mate, who happens to be their boss/enforcer, okay cool, I am still onboard. They are tasked with finding who is making some super illegal drug, got it. Something goes wrong at the end of book 2 and Marchella calls in the Calvary, aka super old ancient magical vamps that are pretty much the A-Team brotherhood to help them. Still onboard and this is where Book 3 starts.

Book 3, this book, is where I am sitting going WTF. Now we are having Arthur, Morgana, Morgause and Elayne the Children of Merlin who are also the creatures of all the mythical beings. Marcella looks like these women, the Calvary are Arthurs knights, there are seven of them and another group called the Reapers who protect Merlin (ya they are all asleep and are waking up which is bad). They can all posses their creatations, and there is purpose to Marchella's group but at this point who knows. Also they mention that the Calvary is older than Darius but Darius is from the Roman Empire so I assumed he was from like early Roman Empire so before King Arthur time. I am so confused at this time at all this new stuff, like what is going on
