Review: I came across Rudy Francisco’s poetry watching Button Poetry’s YouTube channel...and when I heard him he was amazing...so when Helium was released it was a no brainer that I would purchase this...and he did not disappoint. Glad I made this purchase!!

Review: I first discovered Rudy Francisco watching a video on Facebook, where he was the featured poet, at a local poetry spot called Write About Now. The poem he was performing was a poem about God. I was transfixed by his every word. The lyrical style of his rhyme, the bomb dropping metaphors, the use of personification, and even the humor in places.I have since then watched many of his performances, and purchased his book in kindle and print format. I’ve even had the opportunity to see him perform in person. Rudy Francisco is a gift to the poetry world. His poems range from love to introspect to politics to cultural. He is diverse and he continuously blesses each piece with thought provoking BARS!!! (Insert mix drop here).My favorite piece from this collection is “Again”. It is an interwoven piece of reincarnated love that features even aspects of Greek Mythology. I connected with this piece deeply.I am a true fan of his work. I look forward to his next performance and his next collection of poetry!

We watched a YouTube video of Rudy Francisco doing spoken poetry. I found the poems absolutely hilarious, heartbreaking, and beautiful. Review: The emotions drawn are raw and powerful. I could literally feel the words in these poems. Some will make you laugh, some will make you cry. They give the reader a lot to ponder, and a perspective perhaps not previously considered. Worth the read!

Review: I saw Rudy on Jimmy Fallon and had to pick up the book after hearing him perform one of his poems. I read the book and stayed up all night soaking it in. His poems make you take a moment to self reflect, it shares different perspectives and highlights humanity and all the beautiful imperfections. I read the book in the kindle app version. If you do the same be mindful to shrink the text so the lines appear properly and makes the read as it was intended to flow. I was hesitant to purchase this book in a digital copy but it’s awesome to highlight away and add notes to it while you’re self reflecting on the meanings of the words or how they made you feel. I haven’t read a poem in a long while and I’ve never read a book of poems but I was hooked on this read. I highly recommend it. It makes for a great gift too.
