As stated in the title, the book contains 50 classic Beatles hits to strum and sing. Each song has notes and chords as well as lyrics for standard G-C-E-A tuning. There are no suggested strum patterns in this book, but if you're buying this book, you probably know a few already. Many all-time favorites are included: Blackbird; Eleanor Rigby; Help!; Eight Days a Week; Hey Jude; Let It Be; Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds; and Yesterday. It includes some lesser recognized tunes as well such as the In My Life which many people know as the theme song to the old drama Providence but seldom recognize as a Beatles song.

The songs are written in such a way to minimize pages used per song, but in many of the songs you do indeed have to turn the page to keep playing. I personally don't mind this, but I've read many reviews which suggest some customers find this to be a major interruption and flaw to the books, so beware.

I am not a professional musician. I have played ukulele for 18 months. For the most part, I like the way the songs sound on my two ukuleles. If you are a professional or have a background of intensive musical training, then I'm sure your ear will pick up on things mine doesn't. That said, I am very satisfied with this book, and I intend on purchasing one as a gift for another ukulele player. There's something in this book for everyone from a complete beginner to a couple that are a bit more advanced in style. Highly recommend.

Review: Great big selection of Beatles songs with chords, lyrics, and melody lines. I love the 50 selections, which is quite a lot. It’s a bound book so it may break the spine at some point. I marked it down by one star since it’s really annoying when the songs go across multiple pages/ poor layout. As an example Blackbird covers five (5!!) pages so that is a lot of page-flipping if you want to play the entire song. Overall though, great book. Definitely recommended.
