  Review: I throughly enjoyed reading this book and learning more about my euro model 1986 500sl. I have been a W126/R107 Mercedes collector and enthusiast my whole life. This book was packed full of information I never knew before about the R107 chassis. I particularly enjoyed the Vin/data card section, 500sl and the tuning / amg section the most. Thank you for the wonderful book. I look forward to placing another order and displaying this book in my garage.

  Review: I have been a member of the Mercedes Benz club of America for over 15 years. I have owned four Mercedes automobiles and, over the years have attended several tech sessions. I recently bought my fourth Mercedes which happens to be my second R107. I live in Virginia and bought the car from California without having seen or driven it. When it arrived I had some questions about the engine, transmission and chassis.
  The answers to all of my questions were to be found in an excellent book by Bernd Koehling. The book is titled: “Mercedes-Benz, everything you want to know about the SL R107 and SLC C107, from the 350SL to the 450SLC and 500SL Rally”. Not only does the book give you the history of the development of the R107, it also gives you technical specifications and production figures. Some of the most helpful features for me were the explanations of the vin numbers and the data card. If you own an R107 or C107 or are thinking of buying one I strongly suggest you get a copy of this book because it will make you much more comfortable with and confident of these fine example of automotive engineering.

  Review: I have a 1973 450 sl . I'm trying to keep it original but it's very hard to find books on mechanical and electrical issues. They sold more of these cars in America but you can't get books here . So I'll probably put an LS2 motor in it.

  Review: I wanted to know more about both the R129 and the R107 SL models so I bought both Volume 1 and Volume 2. Both are helpful with good pictures of the different engine and exterior and interior options. Both books also contain good information on the changes over the years with the engines and features. Very helpful information on the paint and option codes for the cars. Both also contain good reviews of the models from a potential purchase perspective. I found it so helpful that I am now the proud owner of a 2000 SL500. Thank you for the great reference.
