AS THE SWEET PRINCE MAGIC TRICKLES TO OGOJA LGA, NORTHERN SENATORIAL DISTRICT.

His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, the esteemed Governor of Cross River State, has vowed to bring an era of "Season of Sweetness" to the people, promising equitable distribution of infrastructural development across the State.
True to his words, the state capital of Calabar is witnessing a remarkable transformation under his leadership. The massive facelift interventions being carried out reflect Governor Otu's commitment to delivering on his promises and enhancing the lives of Cross Riverians.
Central to this transformation is the commencement of groundbreaking road constructions in the Southern Senatorial District under the period of one year in office. With several streets in the city metropolis being constructed and totally rehabilitated in line with his "Operation Zero Pothole" move.
Notably, the ground breaking ceremonies of Adiabo/Ikoneto and Oban/Nsan Roads spectacularly stands out as major projects that will serve as critical evacuation routes, significantly boosting inter-state connectivity. These roads are more than mere infrastructure; they symbolize progress, ease of movement, and economic revitalization for the region.
Governor Otu's vision extends beyond the Southern District, with the Northern Senatorial District also experiencing the sweetness of development. Ogoja LGA is currently abuzz with extensive road rehabilitation and construction works, a clear indication that the Governor's pledge to spread infrastructural improvements is not limited to any particular area.
Below are some of the areas and roads where the current rehabilitation and construction works are currently ongoing in Ogoja LGA ;
- Ukamusha Street connecting Calabar Street and Mission Road.
- Ishiborr by St. Ben Catholic Church Cemetery.
- Ndok Junction leading to Abakpa Round About.
- Ukamusha Street connecting Ishiborr and Igoli Ogoja Urban.
- Monaiya Road Connecting Ijiborr in Bekwarra.
This ongoing work in Ogoja showcases the administration’s dedication to ensuring that no part of Cross River State is left behind with similar interventions to commence in parts of the Central Senatorial District with Ikom and Yakuur Local Government Areas taking the front burner in the scale.
