Review: One of the reviewers stated,
"Yount does well in providing a background in the most significant schools of educational psychology. He lightly critiques many of them, but generally fails to engage them in a deeply biblical way. Instead, he looks for ways to affirm the truth in it; this, however, leaves some of the very negative aspects of each school of educational psychology unexamined and will lead the theological untrained individual to believe that behaviorism (etc.) are okay..."
In my opinion this is very accurate. In addition to that I see that the author is heavily influenced by contemporary secular trends and as result many of ideas presented in the book will rather secularize a teacher than provide truly Christian insights.
