This one felt a little scattered and the time hop thing is not enjoyable for me to read, but I do enjoy this author and she has written books that I like a lot.

I was really excited for this one and the letdown was real. I really thought we would get to see some backstory in their 20's from some of the scenes from the other books where he gets alpha possessive.

I liked how he she sticks up for herself. He gets mad and walks out at her truths a lot, but she still holds her ground and when she does find faults she owns them.

Review: Talk about mixed feelings. Did I want Dolly and Edge to get their happily ever after? Sure. Did it come about in a nonsensical, rambling, toxic, painful way? I think so.
Robbins does a lovely job establishing the childhood relationship between Edge and Dolly, and showing us how these two came to be meant for each other. In previous books, we never see them as a couple, and an incident with Crystal when they were young was presented to us as “the thing that broke them,” and we never really see them as a couple, but two constantly fighting separate people. But in this book, “the thing that broke them” was, in my opinion, ten times worse, and it wasn’t just Edge, it was her family and the whole club. At the end of part one, they are 18 or 19, and I think they are together, but honestly, it’s hard to tell.

Part 2 picks up twelve years later, where Book 3 left off, with Edge and Dolly in the hospital, and they are apparently together and have been for a while. This is where things really escalate quickly and dramatically and had me thinking, WTH is wrong with these two? How is it they have known each other their entire lives and are incapable of communicating with each other, and that their friends haven’t shaken some real sense into either of them? Much of the book feels like Dolly is being gaslit into thinking she’s the problem. And she may carry some responsibility, but it also seems that everyone else just completely disregards the thing that happened with her and Edge in their teens which would OBVIOUSLY give another reason as to why she is so distrustful and angry about club life. Then at 94%, she has this sudden epiphany that she’s biker trash and belongs with the Disciples, despite the really horrible thing they did to her. It left a very bad taste in my mouth.

It’s all hunky dory at the end and they’re both completely transformed, yada yada yada. I was really disappointed in this book. Edge is presented as this perfectly self aware guy, this perfect match and Dolly doesn’t realize how good she has it. Dolly could have been a much more dynamic, interesting character, but instead she’s just crazy and self-loathing. Bummer.

Review: I love this whole series!! I have note written a review on this series until now!!! This is my 3rd time reading this book Edge and Dolly 's love is my favorite by far!!! Edge knows who is is and does not care what others think of him as long as he has Dolly!! But Dolly hate where she came from but loves him. The push and pull between these two had my heart from the bubble gum machine to the bubble gum machine!!! Have to rad the book to understand!! Worth the read!! ❤❤❤

Review: Dolly and Edge have just always meant to be- this is the reality Cassandra paints in their love story- there is no question, there is no doubt- they are fated. This story takes us on a journey through different stages of their relationships with each other as well as their orientation to the Disciples. As children, they are part of the fabric of the MC- we see their sweet and committed relationship blossom. As they mature and evolve, Dolly wants space from this life, while Edge sees it as his destiny. Dolly struggles to find herself as she matures, whereas Edge starts to sit into the natural understanding of who he’s meant to be with the club. Heartbreak occurs, challenges both internally and externally combat their relationship- yet, they always find a way back to each other, because their hearts are forever fused. Like star-crossed MC lovers.

The path here is tumultuous to say the least- a lot of give a tack, false starts and false resolution that is only rocked by another challenge, by forces and other people who stand in their way of being together, including themselves. That path impacts them- changes them-- losing a piece of heart, half of your soul, it changes you. They can’t find their peace, but they can’t stay apart- an angushing cycle of heartbreak, challenge, and hurt. But, the fight for their love never stops, and the adversity only strengthens the indestructible tether between them.
The chemistry here is compulsive, magnetic, explosive- the romantic equivalent of a tornado- at times violent and destructive, awe-inspiring, no end and no beginning. Chaotic, a force of nature, savagely beautiful. Just like Dolly and Edge, you too are sucked into the cyclone that is their romance- swirling around, consumed by the chaos, hanging on for the rainbow you hope comes at the end of the storm.

Cassandra builds such a compelling, emotional, and nuanced foundation for their connection with the plot- a friendship, young love, jaded lovers, soulmates. Each piece of their narrative journey, each moment is part of the mosaic of their love- full of jaded, rough pieces that can cut, broken moments, but indefinitely fused together into something that is whole, that is beautiful. This is how you do complex love stories, this is how you do heartache and redemption. A carefully crafted push-pull. How you do love that is as anguishing as it is beautiful.
Each character gets depth, layers and dimension. These are characters who struggle- with their identities, as lovers and as individuals- and underneath it is a captivating devotion to one another - the need for each other like they need air to breathe. Wow. Just wow.

Repent may be my favorite in the series thus far-so anguishing, emotive, and captivating. The raw and gritty MC world contrasted with a sweet, vulnerable, yearning love story. I love the clear point of view Cassandra has as an MC author- it's quickly becoming one of my favorite voices in the MC romance genre.
