Review: Wow! Where do I start? The pictures are gorgeous. Every single recipe looks delicious! She has the nutritional information so that saves me a step and tons and tons of nutritional info about WHY I need more iron or calcium or fiber. I already bought another one for my daughter. Im not really into the Green Movement like she is so I skipped that part but that was only a very tiny part anyway!

Review: I am new to vegetarian cooking and was looking for a book that had some basic information and a variety of recipes. This book filled both of those needs.
There are 208 pages. The first 49 present basic information about healthy eating for an athlete. There is a section on "Maximizing your performance without meat."
The remainder of the book has seven sections: Breakfast - Soups - Salads - Main Meals - Desserts - Sweet Snacks - and Savory Snacks, Smoothies, and Shakes. The References section list approximately 60 sources including experts, medical staff, authors, etc. The Resources section lists nine websites. And the Index is thorough and provides a quick lookup.
The recipes are detailed. Most have pictures of the food and all include nutritional information. They vary in portions, some serve 1 person (smoothies), most are for 2, and several are for larger numbers (pancakes for 8).
I have made just three recipes so far. All have been very good โ€“ and are tagged marked as โ€œkeepersโ€.
The only surprise is that two of the recipes I made had an 8 hour, low setting, cook time. Not a big deal, but I check now when getting ready to cook.
I am pleased with the book and would buy it again.

Review: I just received this today, and am giving it as a gift so cannot rate the recipes...but I had not noticed when I ordered it that all the recipes use UK measurements & oven temps without US equivalents. This is the reason for the four stars, because I might not have bought it had I noticed that....but hopefully the gift recipient won't mind.

Review: I've been vegetarian for a year now and this is the first vegetarian cookbook that I've bought. I heard about it after seeing an article about it on the MyFitnessPal app.

I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the book is split up into two parts. First, there is a guide with helpful information about being vegetarian and how it can impact your life overall as well as specifically as an athlete.

There are a lot of color images in the book which is always visually appealing and I really like that there is nutrition information included with all of the recipes.

I just got it in the mail today, so I haven't had a chance to make anything yet, but it all sounds delicious and I would highly recommend it, for not only the recipes but also the guide at the beginning.

Review: This book has been wonderful in helping me to make tasty vegetarian meals. I'm not sure about the serving sizes. Recipes say it's a two person serving, but they would have to be really big portions! Still, it was well worth buying.
