Review: This is great operators manual for the AR15. It should be included with all AR15 rifle sales. This provides good instruction on how to disassemble, clean, re-assemble, and perform minor adjustments and troubleshooting of the AR15. In addition to this manual, a new AR15 owner should also pickup the Marksmanship manual as well. Of course, due to the highly configurable nature of the AR platform, users of this manual will not have a few of the accessories and features discussed regarding the military issued M4 rifle, so it wouldn't hurt for a new user to find a skilled and experenced friend to go over the specifics of optics, grips, slings, upgraded controls and cleaning gear. The actual basic skills of using the AR15 as a weapon is an entirely different matter than what is reviewed here...the basics of shooting is covered in the above mentioned marksmanship manual, but to get a good review of self defense, order up one of the videos from magpul, and dig into YouTube videos. If you have the funds, a one day intro to carbine class by a reputable training group is well worth the money, as is an intermediate class after that. Most importantly, learn and live the rules of gun safety, and be an asset, not a liability, to your family and community.

Review: Handy, direct guide for cleaning, maintenance, and operating the AR-15/M4 platform.
Good for refreshing what was learned in basic, and provides some advanced level instruction as well.
I’m no armorer or gunsmith…but this helps me identify whether I need one or not.
