Review: Guess what, I am not a Republican!
We need more people and especially more women standing up for causes, stepping up to lead.
The book was encouraging and inspiring to me but I needed no convincing. I hope more young women will
read it and be convinced to get involved in their own community be it large or small. Start with picking up trash, move on to going to council meetings, find our what is happening and what the needs are in your community and do whatever you can. AND VOTE!

Review: This book is an interesting memoir of her life and experiences fighting for things that are important to her and to others. It covered a lot of topics and was very interesting. She has devoted her life to advocating for women's rights and human rights (which are the same thing). We need more people working to keep this the country that we know and love. This book is an inspiration to keep working toward that goal.

Review: No matter your politics, this book hits the heart of why we can and should support our personal causes and how we can be more productive and creative in boosting them. I volunteer with several organizations, and this volume inspired me to look at new ways I can provide more service. The book title says it all as I plan to dig deeper to stand up, speak out and find the courage to lead. Thanks for the straight talk, hardships and all!

Review: Cecile Richards reads with the greatest of ease as she tells us her story, all woven in with countless stories about everyone in her life. The book is well written and I learned so much about the history of Planned Parenthood, as well as American history as it relates to women's issues specifically. I'm going to buy the printed book so that I can easily look up certain stories and phrases that struck me as important to remember.

Review: I felt like I was sitting down with someone I knew and she was telling me her story. It is a very comfortable read. Of course, at the same time, it is an amazing story of how Cecile Richards' life has unfolded, not by accident, but by her accepting the challenges that were put before her. She is such a great role model - to peers and young women - as was her mother. I am looking forward to seeing what the next chapter in her life will be!
