Review: This was a short quick read that I liked. Nathaniel Meier runs a ranch and he needs help with his father dead and his mother off finding herself it is up to him. January Rose is a free spirit she is also Nat's childhood sweetheart. January who is out of money, and was only back at Close Call to pick up her inheritance and be on her way to another work-travel assignment in Nepal. She was a bit shocked to find her mother Mona was living in a van on Close Call land. Mona was hoping January would stick around for a while and seeing as she was here now, she was going to make sure January got to work helping Nat herd the cattle ready for sale. This was a book that I liked this was my first time reading this author Nat is a hot sexy cowboy January broke his heart and I liked that he was willing to give her another chance. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Review: Nate was getting ready for the cattle sale auction. Years of taken care of the ranch by himself the ranch had been the Meier’s legacy. Austin worked at the bank and was coming to check on Nate. January came back into town and Nat was not happy to see her. January always had a wonderlust so she traveled the world working different jobs to make ends meet. Now she was back in her home town to collect some inheritance that her grandmother left for her. January started to work at Nate’s ranch helping out with the animals. January and Nate where they use to go swimming. She was all for skinny dipping but Nate got into the water with his underwear. Nate couldn’t take losing January again and he figured she probably had a man everywhere she went. Things start to get down to business he was falling for harder than before. January told him he next stop would be Nepal where she could find her zen moment. Will January go to Nepal? Did she make plans where to go next after Nepal? Will Nate be dumped once more by January will his heart be smashed like before? Great Characters.

Review: Nathaniel is taking care of the family farm, after his fathers death, and his mother is off finding herself he stiluck with the responsibility, the bank is on his back and he is trying to sell off some cattle, he needs a little help. But the last person he expected to get help from ends up being exactly what he needs. January has always wanted to get of her small town and she did exactly that when she graduated, but now she is back for a short visit, only she won’t be home long she is ready to get back out on that open road. But will the boy she loved who is now a man be able to keep this nomad from traveling? You will have to read to find out??

Review: I read another book by Leslie North which was an ARC review, and fell in love with her writing. This book was a purchase for me, and it was truly enjoyable. I couldn't put it down.

Funniest quote - "You know what they call pain-in-the-ass cows? Steak." But Nat couldn't turn that cow into steak because January had already named her. Moo-donna.

Best quote - "Dreams should be rewritten from time to time, else life will rewrite them for you." I'm glad that January and Nat discovered how to rewrite their dreams.

Review: Great start to the Meier Ranch Brothers series by talented author, Leslie North. I really liked the relatable characters and their raw emotions had me glued to the book from beginning to end. I really wanted the book to continue when I got to the last page because I was so involved in January and Nat's second-chance romance. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and look forward to reading book two.

Review: Oh, to be young again and have all of life ahead of you. That's what the story made me feel. Two people discovering that there is more to life than their combined past. Great character development, clean editing, a quick moving plot, and lots of passion thrown in for flavor. An entertaining romance by an author that understands the genre.

Review: I gave it three stars for the author's effort. I thought the metaphors were ridiculous. Do people in Texas really talk like that? Characters did not have chemistry, it was like they just went through the motions. Even in the epilogue, when January was seducing him, there were no real feelings.
