Title: Missing manual missing pages!

Review: I had hoped this guide book would help me sort out my brand new Canon EOS RP but both of the sample books I received had either pages printed out of order or duplicate pages and several missing pages from the book. I finally gave up trying to get a copy that was complete and asked for a refund. Because Rockynook published this book in September 2019 the guide is slightly out of date especially now that Canon has introduced more new lenses with special features related to each new and current EOS R mirrorless cameras. If you really need this guide I would suggest getting the Kindle version since I can assume it was properly reproduced from the author's intentions. Instead I will seek a different guide book but if I ever find a proper copy of this author's book I may entertain buying it from a actual bookstore. Rockynook's quality control is sorely lacking.

Title: The Book You Need For Canon's New RP SLR

Review: As usual, I find David Busch's guidebooks indispensable whenever I purchase a new camera. Even moreso with Canon's new RP. The Canon RP is a different type of SLR camera (mirrorless SLR) for Canon, only preceded by the Canon R. Busch walks you through the camera's features, is well illustrated, and offers many useful suggestions on how to setup the camera and its menus. The manuals Canon provides are dense, difficult to understand, and lack the recommendations Busch provides. While you could read this guide cover to cover, it better serves as a reference to consult over time. The book is written at a level that addresses new SLR users and experienced photographers alike. Highly recommended.

Title: BETTER THAN THE FACTORY MANUAL

Review: Explanations are clear and simple. The settings are explained in perfect order and it helps you set up the camera to your liking. Later chapters go into much greater detail to provide additional information if you are not familiar with the usage. Since the author uses the camera he is very familiar with the controls and puts everything into plain english.

Review: If you have the Canon RP, having this book will lessen the learning curve. Info is presented in a logical manner. And while some of the info is basic to any camera, it does point out many RP-specific tips and tricks. Much better than just trying to follow the Canon manual. An updated, online version that covers lenses and software released since publication would be ideal. In fact, let me check and see if that exists!

Review: I found this book to be very informative, and I have no doubt that Mr. Busch knows his material very well. My two-star rating is based on the fact that between pages 137 and 168 (approximately), the pages are printed completely out of order. It's annoying to have to jump around in order to follow the text and illustrations in the proper order.
