Review: I am writing this as an update to my earlier review, which was somewhat negative. I had said I was displeased at the content of the book, particularly on the rest of side. But I have to update that we started it today and my 5 year old loves it. This is a child who dreaded her teacher sent school work during COVID homeschooling, but she is excited to do this book and put the stickers on the pages as she completes them. Of course...that is partly because her work from her teacher was more difficult than the beginning of this book, even though she was only just at the end of kindergarten (we have the first grade book). But it’s great to see her so excited. If this goes well I may order the 2nd grade one after all.

Title: Great practice and mostly great examples

Review: I gave this book to my 7 year old niece who is currently doing online classes due to Covid-19. She needed some help re-enforcing her handwriting and reading skills so that she wouldn't lose them while distance learning . I directly worked with her on the fist few pages and she was really enjoying it, especially since it is Disney themed. I liked how the example sentences had a corresponding picture. I think that helped her when she was struggling on sounding out a word. For example, there was a sentence about Belle and Beast dancing, and the picture showed them doing just that.
The only minor issue I had with this book is that some of the words in the example sentences weren't very useful. For example, there was a picture of Moana by a volcano (if I recall correctly) and the example sentence included the name of that volcano, which is not a commonly used or easy to pronounce name.
I'd recommend this to others, like me, who have a family member who needs some extra practice with their handwriting and likes Disney.
