Review: If you would like to see and read an educated person speak his truth and hide nothing in the process, this is the book to purchase. It is refreshing to read something a book from a Great President of this time. With all the drama and racism his' family had to deal with in the WH, shows how mature they truly are. He still managed to be a kind spirit to anyone and everyone he has met, so far. Compared to the people who have turned it into a Fun House, full of clowns. This book is very enlightening to his' life and to his' journey. So, thank you Mr. President for all of you and Ms. First Lady hard work! Keep up the good work, Mr. Obama. God bless you and your lovely family!

Title: Well worth the wait!

Review: I just received it today, so am just getting into it. It doesn't disappoint! It allows one to re-live the presidency of a man whose decency and integrity so many took for granted, but who more people grew to appreciate after witnessing and living through the horror of the president that came after Obama! So wonderful to be able to relive the moments through the elegant writing of one of the world's most admired men, whose legacy of Obamacare lets us know that Obama cared for the citizens of the country he sincerely led. Thank You President Obama! Thank You for setting an excellent example for our children, and for continuing to invest in the youth of this nation!

Title: Fun, interesting from preface. Understanding the reason we love and miss this caring man so much

Review: From the Preface to 1st chapter reveals the essence of a great mind, deeply caring man who yearns to make a positive difference in his life and world we live in. He humbly accounts for a very normal childhood behaviour & view of world, into how he became. I miss his spirit, honesty, so much of what we take for granite in Great President, and any elected official that we trust to be our guides, better knowing, and decisions that we trust as being best for citizens and not their own selfish beings and friends.

Review: Book is great, everything as hoped for. I love the photos and private moments Barack chose to share with us, the reader.

I did not want this to effect overall rating but worth pointing out, I unpackaged it and saw some greasy fingerprints on the back cover :(. After reading many comments people not wanting that type of review left I respect that but still think it is worth noting. If you want a perfect copy, you may have to mail it back and wait for an exchange.

Title: I am a conservative

Review: Everyone deserves their opinion. As a conservative, I applaud this book. Expertly written. Articulate. A wonderful, moving expose' of OUR 44th President and how he got there.

For all of you that have said 'garbage' just because you don't agree with his politics (I hope that is your reasoning and not something else that is very glaring these days) I say to you what we conservatives told the world in 2016: respect the office and give him a chance. Folks, lets face it: the current resident inherited a booming economy and an America where anything was possible because of President Obama and his administration. Obama/Biden inherited a disaster fr om President Bush. But all that aside, Presidents Bush and Obama and their families are respectful of one another, are friends and great together.

So lets get off of this hate track. Lets turn it around and lets not 'listen or read to respond' ... rather, lets listen to hear and understand. Lets read this book with an open mind. Don't dislike it because you don't agree with his politics. But read it and understand it and think, well, that is an interesting way to grow up and that is an interesting way to see things.

Having said all those things, as a conservative, it is an easy read. And gives interesting insight into something most conservatives do not experience...growing up in America as a Black man. And even though 44 was elected, we, as a people, as Americans have a very, very long way to go. Oh, and BTW, America has ALWAYS and WILL ALWAYS be great. We elected a black man twice as the most powerful man in the world. And he performed his duties with pride and dignity. Where else on this planet, outside of the African continent has that has a remote chance of happening?

Title: President Obama's Best Yet

Review: President Barack Obama writes like he speaks: deliberately, thoughtfully, and entertainingly. This book provides the reader with a much needed dose of decency and intelligent thought in an era of scare mongering and, well, stupidity. Reading this is like a breath of fresh mountain air after being trapped in the smoggy doldrums of present-day current affairs.

And, as he does in his other books, President Obama covers lots of ground, and does not limit himself to political topics. He does not simply recite events and provide his interpretation. He analyzes and learns from circumstances, and then provides those lessons to us in readable prose.

This book is sure to fly off the shelves for years to come. Hopefully we use it as a touchstone to better ourselves, and to better American politics.
