Review: Easy to rate this book. I purchased this for my son who from time to time asks for old family recipes. My mom gifted this very same book to my sisters and me many years ago. Mom and I went through it together and were delighted to find that these are authentic recipes. Our own family recipes, handed down through the ages, were very similar, with an enhancement or modification here and there. An excellent book! Beautiful gift. My purchase was listed as "slightly used," and was in pristine condition!

Review: I have given this book as a gift multiple times. Recipes are very authentic and truly reflect the different regional cooking of Mexico. But.... the photos make you feel like you're traveling through Mexico, while you are cooking!
I have several favorite recipes, many are similar to the ones I learned from my Grandmother and great aunts. This is a treasure to keep

Review: Love this book. I got it from the library first and then had to take it back after 9 weeks. Then I got it for another 9 weeks and finally I realized I just needed to own it. I continue to use so many recipes from it. Fiesta Chicken works for breakfast or dinner meals. I ordered this book many times, but it is part of series and Good Will and others sent me the ones from Italy or France. Finally I got the one I wanted and it was worth the effort.

Review: So I will start by saying that I am originally from Mexico (central part) and learned to cook from my grandma, who was from Mexico City. This book is a great little compilations of dishes that you will not commonly find in the US. I love the graphics and the little history that is attached to some of the recipes. I would recommend this to non-Mexican people who want to learn more about the diversity of Mexican cuisine. That said, I was disappointing by the small amount of dishes featured in the book.

Review: This cookbook is truly a worthwhile purchase. Yes, the pictures are nice and there are some good informative paragraphs about the history of the food and regions where the food was influenced by. The the value of this book is in the recipes. The recipes are very authentic to Mexico. Such that some of the ingredients can be hard to find here in the United States.

The favors are restaurant quality. Good presentation and the end of the book has techniques and advice on food preparation before you engage in the actual creation of the meals. Every base is covered, so I give this book a full recommendation. It's good enough that I am now curious about the other books in the series.

Title: Most Beautiful Mexican Cookbook

Review: Though this book has been out of print for over 20 years, I was easily able to locate a "like new" copy on Amazon after having seen it in the home we rented in Mexico. Not only are the photos stunning, but the recipes are so simple and straight forward that it encourages the chef in all of us to take bold steps and create mouth-watering dishes. Moreover, the author has included what feels like every major Mexican dish you could hope to try and then some. It may be a well kept secret, but the fact is that REAL Mexican cuisine is world class fare and this book confirms my belief. A true cookbook gem!

Review: Mexico The Beautiful Cookbook contains what it claims: beautiful MEXICAN recipes, which are traditional, therefore not owned by anyone and like all traditional recipes vary from family to family, cooking to cooking. The book is beautifully illustrated and easy to follow. I have used the book over and over and given it as a gift to numerous friends all over the world who all treasure it. Mrs Palazuelos reputation is due to high standards and extremely hard work and with very good reason is considered Mexico's number 1 caterer and now her equally talented son has just opened a hit restaurant of Mex-Thai fusion cuisine, unique in Mexico.

Review: I bought this book after a trip to Mexico and was amazed as to how authentic the recipes were. The dishes I have made rival the dishes we had during our travels and it is nice to have a cookbook which stays so true to the ethnic flavor and tradition of the place it represents. I have given away 4 copies of this to dear friends and have won raves from dinner guests who compliment me and say they truly feel that they have eaten a Mexican feast.
