May 14, 2024 The Global Partnership for Education (GPE), in collaboration with Save the Children International (SCI) Nigeria and Mediatrix Development Foundation, UNHCR, inaugurated the Technical Committee of GPE Refugee and host communities Education project earlier today in Calabar. The inauguration was performed by the Federal Ministry of Education representative, Mr Godwin Odey, on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Didi Walson-Jack, OON, mni, as Senator Stephen Odey Ph D ,

Cross River State Commissioner for Education emerged Chairman of GPE Committee Members that includes: The Distinguished Commissioner for Education Cross River State. Chairman. Representative from CR-SUBEB. Member. Representative from NCFRMI.member. Representative from Save the Children International, Member. Representative from UNHCR. Member. Education Secretaries of the LGAs. Member. Representative of Ministry of Women Affairs, Member.

Any other Relevant Education Agency Member. Representative from Office of Director Schools (MOE) Secretary. Were all charged to work very hard in the new assignment. The Commissioner, who now doubles as Chairman of the Technical Committee, in his remarks shortly after inauguration congratulated other members of the Technical Committee saying:
