My story, you don't know

You see the smiles on my face

But my heart is unknown.

I've always been afraid to show myself

Afraid to let the world know who I am

My scars run deep and I fear the unknown.

But now I know

My scars make me

My fears lift me

There's beauty in the unknown

I'm a mystery to be discovered

And so I won't shudder anymore.

I'm boldly beautiful inside and out
