The princess, the lion and the Crafty tortoise (African legend)

In a friendly atmosphere in early hours of the night with the moon giving an amazing light an old woman sits in the midst of children, young men and women under a mango tree entertaining them with pleasant tales.

Once upon a time, king elephant had a beautiful daughter and every men competes to have her to himself but she had a surprising wish that gave all her suitors a race and her demand is that she would marry any one that brings the lion to the king's palace, it is indeed a tedious task for all animal because lion is so violet and a killer and from neighborhood.

Tortoise thought of the wish of the princess and decided to visit the lion and getting to his house, tortoise gave him a well prepared better soup and this humbled lion to give him a listening ear and tortoise told him that the king, elephant is having a special party for all animals and he has been invited to be the chairman of the occasion and this excited him because he was so proud and he told tortoise shall we go immediately and they left.

Tortoise was slowly moving and it annoys lion because he wants to be there on time and tortoise craftily pleaded with lion to carry him on his back, Lion happily accepted and he began to run as fast as his strength could, this land tortoise on the ground and tortoise told him to prevent me falling off from your back I shall tie rope on your neck and hold it and lion quickly agreed.

Then gotten to the king palace, tortoise came down still having the rope tied on the neck of the lion as he was engulfed with the thought of the party he is to enjoy, tortoise handed over the rope to the king and lion was put into cage, tortoise married the princess and he is to be the next king of the kingdom and all other animals praised his wisdom and lion was very ashamed and angry for letting small animal bring his down fall.
