“Obeying is a relative subject.”

Different forms of obeying.

Obeying from one person to another is a social politeness.

But obeying is mandatory in some cases. Obeying to superior authority is mandatory for subordinates.

Again, in some cases, it is optional for one to obey the other.

How much you obey an established person in your area is your personal matter.

Or do you obey with any of the gangsters in your area? That is entirely up to you.

This is how obeying takes different forms.

Relativity of obeying.

There is also a difference in obeying.

It's almost impossible for everyone to treat one equally. And it doesn't make sense.

This happens for various reasons.

One is not respected equally by all due to ideological differences or political conflicts.

Or close relatives are not respected by other relatives due to poor personal relations.

I consider Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as the founder of Bangladesh.

But there are many people who stay in Bangladesh and do not accept Bangabandhu as the founder of Bangladesh because of political parties and ideologies.

I accept Sheikh Hasina as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

Compared to Sheikh Hasina in terms of power, I am an insignificant person.

It can be said that, just an ant against the streamy river.

So, I have to obey Sheikh Hasina _ as the Prime Minister.

Because, I am a citizen of Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina is the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. So, I must obey Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as a civil person.

But, apart from that, I have no obey to respect Sheikh Hasina.

Because, Sheikh Hasina is not my aunt or any other relative personally.

Nor am I a member of Sheikh Hasina's party, Awami League or any other affiliated organization of Awami League.

Therefore, there is no reason for a civil person like me to respect Sheikh Hasina as a party leader.

But, should Sheikh Hasina be obeyed by me the way Obaidul Quader obey Sheikh Hasina? Never.

Because, I never took the privilege and power from Sheikh Hasina the way Obaidul Quader took it.

Sheikh Hasina is the elder sister of Obaidul Quader.

Obaidul Quader is one of Sheikh Hasina's companions in party movement and government management.

So, Obaidul Quader must obey Sheikh Hasina a lot because of his relationship.

Which may not apply to anyone else in the Awami League_no question for a civilian.

Again, the way Obaidul Quader obeys Sheikh Hasina_does Mirza Fakhrul of BNP respect her?

I don't think so.

“মানামানি একটা আপেক্ষিক বিষয়।”

মানামানির ভিন্ন রূপ।

একজনের দ্বারা আরেকজনকে মান্য করা একটা সামাজিক ভদ্রতা।

কিন্তু কিছু ক্ষেত্রে মানা বাধ্যতামূলক। উর্দ্ধতন কর্তৃপক্ষকে মান্য করা অধীনস্থ ব্যক্তিদের জন্য বাধ্যতামূলক।

আবার কিছু ক্ষেত্রে একজনের দ্বারা অন্যকে মান্য করা অপশনাল বিষয়।

আপনার এলাকার প্রতিষ্ঠিত কোন ব্যক্তিকে আপনি কতটুকু মানবেন_সেটা আপনার ব্যক্তিগত ব্যাপার।

অথবা আপনার এলাকার কোন গুন্ডা_মাস্তানকে আপনি মানবেন কি না? সেটাও একেবারে আপনার নিজের ব্যাপার।

এভাবেই মানামানি বিষয়টা বিভিন্ন রকমের হয়।

মানামানির আপেক্ষিকতা।

আবার মান্য করারও একটা পার্থক্য আছে।

একজনকে সকলেই সমানভাবে মানবেন_এটা প্রায় অসম্ভব।এবং এর যৌক্তিকতাও থাকে না।

বিভিন্ন কারণে এরকম হয়।

আদর্শগত মিল না থাকার কারণে অথবা রাজনৈতিক দ্বন্দ্বের কারণে একজনকে সকলেই সমানভাবে মানে না।

অথবা ব্যক্তিগত সম্পর্ক ভালো না হওয়ার কারণে ঘনিষ্ট আত্মীয়কেও অন্য আত্মীয় মান্য করে না।

বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানকে আমি বাংলাদেশের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা হিসেবে মানি।

কিন্তু অনেক মানুষ আছে _ যারা বাংলাদেশে অবস্থান করেই বঙ্গবন্ধুকে বাংলাদেশের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা হিসেবে মানে না_রাজনৈতিক দল ও মতাদর্শের কারণে।

বাংলাদেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রী হিসেবে শেখ হাসিনাকে আমি মানি।

ক্ষমতার দিক দিয়ে শেখ হাসিনার বিপরীতে আমি একজন নগন্য ব্যক্তি।

বলা যায়,খরস্রোতা নদীর বিপরীতে পিপীলিকা মাত্র।

তাই তিনিকে আমার দ্বারা মানতেই হবে _ প্রধানমন্ত্রী হিসেবে।

কেননা,আমি বাংলাদেশের নাগরিক।শেখ হাসিনা বাংলাদেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রী।আমি একজন সিভিল ব্যক্তি হিসেবে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনাকে অবশ্যই মানি।

কিন্তু এর বাইরে শেখ হাসিনাকে আমার মান্য করার কোন যৌক্তিকতা নাই।

কেননা, শেখ হাসিনা ব্যক্তিগতভাবে আমার না ফুফু_খালা অথবা অন্য কোন আত্মীয়।

অথবা শেখ হাসিনার দল আওয়ামীলীগ অথবা আওয়ামীলীগের অন্য কোন সহযোগী সংগঠনের আমি সদস্য না।

তাই দলীয় নেত্রী হিসেবে শেখ হাসিনাকে মান্য করার আমার মতো সিভিল ব্যক্তির কোন যৌক্তিকতা নাই।

কিন্তু ওবায়দুল কাদের যেভাবে শেখ হাসিনাকে মানেন_সেভাবেও কি শেখ হাসিনাকে আমার দ্বারা মানতে হবে?কখনই না।

কেননা,শেখ হাসিনার কাছ থেকে ওবায়দুল কাদের যেভাবে সুযোগ_সুবিধা ও ক্ষমতা গ্ৰহণ করেছেন_সেভাবে আমি কখনই গ্ৰহণ করিনি।

শেখ হাসিনা হচ্ছেন ওবায়দুল কাদেরের বড় আপা।

দলীয় আন্দোলন ও সরকার পরিচালনায় ওবায়দুল কাদের হচ্ছেন শেখ হাসিনার অন্যতম সহচর।

তাই ওবায়দুল কাদেরকে এতো সম্পর্কের কারণে শেখ হাসিনাকে অবশ্যই অনেক বেশি মানতে হবে।

যেটা আওয়ামীলীগের অন্য কারোর জন্য হয়তো প্রযোজ্য না_সিভিল ব্যক্তির জন্য প্রশ্নই আসে না।

আবার শেখ হাসিনাকে ওবায়দুল কাদের যেভাবে মানেন_বিএনপির মির্জা ফখরুল কি সেভাবে মানেন?

আমার মনে হয় না।
