SELF-LOVE is not self-seeking, it is not self-centredness, it is not selfishness, and it has absolutely nothing to do with amassing wealth nor coveting those of others.  However, Self-Love is "the knowing, accepting, and imbibing into the core of your soul, the divine truth that you are a total and complete embodiment of True Love and not  allowing  anything to shake this fundamental truth in you"   Hence, the art of Self-Love is  the science, the mental attitudes and the transformative effects behind living in this truth (staying in this consciousness). that is Everything you can do to continuously stay/ live in this truth.

IN today's world most of us have lost the essence of this truth hence we are running around everywhere and in all directions in search of all manner of things to satisfy this quest/void in us.  LOVE is the real substance we are looking for and no one can give it to us except ourselves. " I am the way, the truth and the light, no one comes to the Father except through me (Self-Love)" so our Divine Master Jesus Christ, the First Overcomes, has admonished us . This divine truth has been staring in our faces all these while especially those of us who have been raised in the Roman Catholic Faith, but only few have made use of it,  

LET'S take a look at the portrait of 'Sacred Heart of Jesus'. The left hand points to the heart while the right hand's for-finger points  into the sky (heaven).  What does this tell us: the way to universal Father (source of love) is through our own heart  (self-love). He also said ' I and my Father are one" This may sound blasphemous but think of it. You are Love and the Father is Love, if you are able to stay in self-love, you will be infused into the Father's love. Our Hearts is the seat of GOD, knock on it and the Gate of Heaven opens.  If you can't love yourself how can you love your neighbor and God?  You need to open your heart to self-love to allow God to  light that candle. When this happens , you will understand what it means to lay down your life for others.   At this  point, you can confess as St Paul did '"what can separate us from the love of God…. absolutely nothing" 

TO EMBARK on this journey, first and foremost, you  have to deal with guilt, and self-condemnation for the Bible says "there is no condemnation in Christ" and secondly you need to deal with Fear for God says " He has not given us the spirit of Fear"   However, we will deal with these two enemies of SELF in our later pieces. 

BUT today brethren, my message is simple, let's turns our attention and consciousness to self-love instead of seeking for this love from others and in materials things.  Let's begin to accept our flaws as part of our beauty. Let's show ourselves a little more compassion and understanding and do away with self-rejection. If we don't accept ourselves in the way we are, who do we expect to accept us in that way. Let's appreciate the goods in us and be proud of them. Because the good and flaw bring out our uniqueness in this life. But above all we must be ready and be willing to grow into a better version of self at our own pace.  The fact is that, if  we can't love Self there is no way we can love others especially those we called Enemies. Self-Love is a force that helps us gain grounding within self and breaks down all resistance. It helps us to overcome and turns monsters/beast in us or the devil himself into Saint
