Role Of The Christian Youth In Shaping The Modern Society

The Youth have the highest population in our modern society and therefore have a higher influential strength on the society . But what is Youth?

Youth refers to the active an potential manpower before retiring age especially between the ages of 15 and 35 years

As every age group has a role to play in shaping the modern society so as the Christian youth also has a major role to play .

Taking  a closer look to this modern society there is an increase in technology which has created more pathways to sin. Especially, the growth of social media's such as Whatsapp , Twitter,  instagram and the great tiktok has brought a lot of negative influences upon the society.It has arouse the love of money in so many people to the extent that lives are being sacrificed daily for the sake of money. Due to the addictiveness of technology, people and up wasting much of their time on it whiles that time could have been used for something productive. As christian youths, what can we do to shapen this modern society before it gets out of hands. Some of these roles are as follows:

1.     Through evangelism which means spreading of the gospel. This shouldn't be something organized occasionally but it should be part of our lifestyle . As christian youth , we should be bold and contident to speak to anybody about the good news. Even though, we may not always receive good reactions from people we speak the goods news to as some of them might sack, ignore or fight against us, we should never give up because the Lord is always with us. Therefore we are never in the fight alone . Even the way we Live our lives, our actions and behaviours in the society can also serve as a form of evangelism to the society .

2.     Also, through the mass media we can help shapen the society. Even though technology has created many pathways to sin, it can also be used to shapen the society. Technology becomes good or bad depending on the purpose for which its been used . While others are posting fake news to get fame on the media, we as christian youth could also post scriptures to position people minds on God. While others are making naughty videos to lure people into fornications or sexual immoralities, we as Christian youth could make videos to warn people on dangers of fornication.

3.     Now there are online bibles and other christian materials one could purchase to study at home. We as christian youths should advertise such kind of products to attract more interets just as we are able to advertise our bussiness products.

Like the Apostle  Paul said in Philippians 4.13. "I can. do all things through Christ who strengthens me", the same way. we as christians youth can also do all things to shapen the society through christ who strengthens us . Amen !
