There are mainly two kinds of the literature :-

Critical literature :- articles, political/scientific theories, history…,

And

Fictional literature :- novels, stories, poems.....

And various writers write various literatures according to their abilities.

Some writers write only about the developments for the humanity.

* প্রধানত দুই ধরণের সাহিত্য রয়েছে ✒

১) ক্রিটিক্যাল / যুক্তি বিষয়ক সাহিত্য :- প্রবন্ধ, বৈজ্ঞানিক / রাজনৈতিক সূত্র / তত্ত্ব, ইতিহাস...ইত্যাদি।

২) ফিকশানাল / কাল্পনিক সাহিত্য :- গল্প, উপন্যাস, কবিতা...।

** আবার, বিভিন্ন ধরণের সাহিত্যকও রয়েছেন :-

১) যাঁরা শুধুমাত্র মানবতার কল্যাণের জন্যই সাহিত্য রচনা করেন :- ইমাম গাজ্জালি, সায়্যেদ আশরাফ আলি থানভি, সায়্যেদ আবুল হাসান আলি নদভি (রাহ্.)...।

২) যাঁরা নিজেদের রাজনৈতিক চিন্তাধারা, দর্শন ও আদর্শ প্রকাশ এবং প্রচারের জন্য সাহিত্য রচনা করেন :- এ্যারিস্টটল, ইব্ন খালদুন, জ্যাঁ জ্যাক রুশো, কার্ল মার্ক্স, ভ্লাদিমির লেনিন, ড. স্যার আল্লামা মুহাম্মাদ ইকবাল, সায়্যেদ আবুল আ'লা মাওদুদি, মাওলানা আবুল কালাম আজাদ, পণ্ডিত জওহরলাল নেহেরু...।

৩) যাঁরা নিজেদের আবেগ-অনুভুতি দ্বারা অনুপ্রাণিত হয়ে সাহিত্য রচনা করেন :- উইলিয়াম ওয়ার্ডসওয়ার্থ, কাউন্ট লিও টলস্টয়, ম্যাক্সিম গোর্কি, বঙ্কিমচন্দ্র চট্টোপাধ্যায়, রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর, প্রমথ চৌধুরী...।

৪) যাঁরা ধর্মীয় কাজের প্রচার ও প্রসারের জন্য সাহিত্য রচনা করেন :-

সুফি মাওলানা মুহাম্মাদ জাকারিয়া কান্দলভি মুহাজিরে মাদানি (ফাযায়েলে আ'মাল), মাওলানা ইদ্রিস কান্ধলভি, আল্লামা আহমাদ রেজা খাঁন, মুফতি আশেক ইলাহি বুলন্দশহরি মুহাজিরে মাদানি...।

৫) যাঁরা পেশা ও জীবিকা হিসেবে সাহিত্য রচনা করেন :- উইলিয়াম শেক্সপিয়র, রবার্ট লুই স্টিভেনসন, ইয়ান ফ্লেমিং, জেম্স হ্যাডলি চেজ, শরৎচন্দ্র চট্টোপাধ্যায়, বুদ্ধদেব বসু, সুনীল গঙ্গোপাধ্যায়...।

প্রধানত এই পাঁচ প্রকারের সাহিত্যিক রয়েছেন।

কিন্তু তাঁদের বেশির ভাগই কোন না কোনভাবে মানবতার জন্য সাহিত্য রচনা করেছেন।

যেমন:- উইলিয়াম শেক্সপিয়র জীবিকার তাগিদেই সাহিত্য রচনা করতেন - কিন্তু তাঁর বিভিন্ন রচনায় মানবতার অনেক বাণী রয়েছে।

★ তাই, তৃতীয় সহস্রাব্দের প্রিয় লেখকগণ, আপনারা আপনাদের পছন্দ ও যোগ্যতা অনুসারে যে কোন ধরণের সাহিত্য জীবন গ্রহণ করতে পারেন।

কিন্তু, আপনাদের লেখার মাধ্যমে যেন মানবতা উপকৃত হতে পারে - সে ব্যাপারে যত্নশীল হবেন।
