IN GHANA today, you are considered naive, stupid and weak if you seem to be a little sensitive, loving and caring to the plight, pains or problems of people around you.  And believe me, if you make a mistake to come across as such,  then everyone wants to take a piece of you  everywhere you go  under a false  pretense of being in a difficulty 

TO THEM, you are a fool. Hence to test your foolishness, they come around you as good samaritans /beggars/ sick people telling you one story or the other about your love ones or about themselves. As a result, we have a lot of fraudsters, and  healthy or  well-to-do beggars trotting our streets hurting innocent people and taking advantage of good hearted persons. 

EVEN some friends and family do the same.   They approach you seeking financial help, but as soon as you help them , they turn against you. Most will not pay you back, some will verbally assort and others,  you have to beg them for your money. And these are what our society consider as  being smart and up to the game of the time. And all these are done by  some individuals in order to meet some societal standard or status. 

TRUELY, this break the hearts of a lot of good people and deterred most of them to open their hearts and the doors of their homes  to those who genuinely need their help.  Hence good is eluding this society. The one one that saddens me most, I'd NGOs , government agencies appeal for help  on behalf of the poor masses from external sources, these help are given but they never get to the people. 

HOWEVER this piece is not to discourage you to do good or stop  doing good. Far from it . It is  rather to call upon you to open your hearts wider and to pour more of that Love & Compassion into the society. Let your heart leads you more in all that you do. It is never wrong. Our society is asleep or dead to our conscience. And we need more GOOD and OPEN HEARTED PEOPLE around  to wake us up. . 

AND Please know that  LOVE & CARE are more scarring than Brutal Force and Fire Arms. With time the wrong people around you will feel  the WRATH of your LOVE. And they will either change or flee your presence.  So let's not be afraid to be verenable for there is strength in venerability BE ENCOURAGED.
