Poem for my dieing dog 

In the twilight of your life, you shine so bright,

A loyal friend, my guiding light.

With every wag, and every bark,

You left an everlasting mark.

Through fields we ran, in joy and glee,

You were always there, right next to me.

Now as you rest, in peaceful grace,

Memories of our love, I'll always embrace.

Your eyes, so gentle, your spirit so kind,

A bond so strong, it's hard to leave behind.

Though your time on Earth is drawing near,

Know that I'll always hold you dear.

As you cross that rainbow bridge, my friend,

May your pain and suffering finally end.

In doggy heaven, may you play and roam,

And in my heart, you'll always find a home.

Farewell, dear friend, your love will never fade,

In my heart, the memories are safely laid.

You brought such joy, my precious dog,

Now go in peace, through that heavenly fog.
