Yellow fever infections can cause serious illness and can be fatal in some cases, This virus is estimated to cause about 200,000 cases of disease and 30,000 deaths each year with 90% occurring in Africa.
Yellow fever virus is an RNA virus that belongs to the genus flavivirus, it is transmitted to people primarily through the bite of infected Aedes or Haemagogus species mosquito.
