Baskadia

Today, I found myself at the TD Bank near Northgate Mall in Edmonton, facing a massive queue. Suddenly, a loud, aggressive confrontation erupted between a heavily intoxicated man and another individual who had seemingly cut in line. Harsh words flew between them, escalating towards a physical confrontation.

Unexpectedly, Patrick stepped between the two belligerents, wearing a warm smile. He exclaimed, "Hey, folks, we're all Canadians here." With those simple words, he diffused the tension. Patrick then reassured the second man that it was okay for him to remain where he was and proceeded to engage the first in conversation.

In a matter of moments, the scene transformed. Laughter filled the air as Patrick managed to bridge the divide, reminding us all of the kindness that can bring people together, even in the most unexpected places.

I'm just so glad that Patrick was there because I don't know how big of a chaos could possibly happen if he was not there.
