A poem on Addiction

Addiction

In shadows deep, where demons dwell,

A battle fought, a soul's farewell.

Addiction's grip, a silent snare,

A haunting darkness, hard to bear.

It starts so innocently, a taste, a sip,

But soon it grows, a relentless grip.

It wraps its chains around the heart,

Tearing lives and dreams apart.

The substance whispers, "Just one more,"

But deeper into darkness, it will lure.

A cycle cruel, a relentless chase,

Leaving scars on life's beautiful face.

Yet hope remains, a flicker's light,

A chance to rise from the darkest night.

With love and strength, we can break free,

From addiction's grasp, we can find the key.

In unity, we'll fight the fight,

To reclaim our lives, to see the light.

For in the depths, where darkness lies,

A path to healing, a chance to rise.
