CRS COMMISSIONER FOR SPORTS DEV’T RECEIVES EX-ROVERS PLAYERS
Upon receiving the former Rovers FC players, Hon. Agnes Atsu, the Commissioner for Sports Development, expressed her gratitude for their visit. She assured them of the Ministry's and government's unwavering support, vowing to provide everything necessary to help the club make a meaningful contribution to the improvement of sports in the state.
Earlier, Edem Oyom, the Secretary of Ex Rovers Football Club, Cross River State Chapter, explained that their visit was to extend their official congratulations to the commissioner for her appointment in the field of Sports Development. He stated that the Club intends to enhance Rovers FC's performance, drawing from their extensive football experience accumulated over the years, and pledged their support for the commissioner's administration.
He also made a plea to the state government, asking them to address matters related to the welfare and financial stability of the club. This, he believes, will ensure better performance from future generations in sporting activities within the state.
