After winning the ODI series by a landslide, Afghanistan lost the T20I series. The visitors fell short of a whitewash in the shorter format. Afghanistan is the strongest team in comparative T20. Afghan captain Rashid Khan cannot accept such defeat in his preferred format.
On Sunday (July 16) at the prize distribution ceremony at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Rashid said, 'There is no point in blaming the condition' as the reason for the loss. T20 is a game of skill, where we are a bit behind. Especially in batting. If we could have batted with a little more time, it would have been good for us. But the batters needed to be more responsible. A good start is needed for the team to win, which we could not do with the batting and bowling.
