Title: Intrigue on Steroids

Review: This is one never-ending, continuously suspenseful thrill ride with brief moments that allow you to catch your breath before it's unexpectedly stolen again! And it doesn't stop until the very end!! Sit down, get comfy, take a deep, relaxing breath before the first page because you might not get another before the last. Easily worth 5 stars!!! Probably more but I am still coming down from the high and calming my racing heart before I dive head first into the next in the Kyle Achilles series. :) Tim Tigner is one scary former counterterrorism specialist with either an imagination that's been starving for the action of his past work or one fertilized by those same experiences...and I don't think I want to know which it is! I'm just going to keep enjoying the benefits of his racing imagination and talented creations!

Title: Step Aside Reacher... Achilles Is In Town!

Review: I read a lot of books (usually at least one a day) and when I saw this concerned a spy/CIA operative up against a Russian threat I though… “this scenario has been overused” but… I was very pleasantly surprised! Very entertaining book, unique premise, suspenseful flow of action, well-crafted back and forth from the US to Russia, and great character development. Anxious to read the next saga with Achilles & Katya.
Rather than racing through this book to finish and get on to the next book, I “savored” the read and enjoyed the ride. Keep them coming Tim!

Title: A thinkers read .... One of Tigner's Best

Review: This is my most recent read in Tigner's Kyle Achilles series. It is also the first in the series. And I think it is the best. Somehow, I had missed it, and read all the others first. What makes all these books so special to me is that they are all stories that engage parts of my mind beyond the satisfaction of fast paced adventures, with two admirable characters, well portrayed, and well written. The two characters are self-standing superheroes, but with normal emotions and worries, and a relationship that builds from one story to the next. Beyond this, the stories engage my thinking and wondering minds beyond most other adventure books I read. I learn about the skills, training and tactics of the very best of behind the scenes operatives in the US and other intelligence services. And, though less dominant than in Tigner's Time and Stolen Thoughts books, they involve speculative but very plausible advances in science. I look forward to each book Tim Tigner writes.

Title: Fresh, Creative, Action-Packed Thriller, With Intellectual Stuff Too!

Review: This novel started slowly and the plot seemed somewhat improbable, but "Pushing Brilliance" really grabbed my interest about a quarter of the way through, and didn't let up! I greatly appreciate creativity, especially with character development, and Tim Tigner definitely has a gift in this regard. Kyle Achilles, aka "Achilles" (okay, maybe too much of an homage to Reacher), isn't the usual hero with a Special Operations Operator backstory. He IS an interesting person, and so are the main characters who are fellow heroes and villains.

The plot is also creative and fresh, and quite believable, which is a key element for my liking a novel enough to give it a five-star rating. I enjoyed "Pushing Brilliance" enough that I purchased the sequel, "The Lies of Spies" 30 seconds after finishing. (I enjoyed the sequel as much as the first book.) There's even a short prequel, "Chasing Ivan", which isn't half bad, and helps to understand why Kyle Achilles is the way he is.

Review: This isn't the first book of Tim Tigner's that I read but it may be the best one. It had non stop action and intrigue. It was hard to put down. If you are a fan of Brad Thor's Scot Harvath and Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp ( which I am ) then the star character of this book, Kyle Achilles will not disappoint! I highly recommend this book and suggest you try Tim Tigner's others as well. Enjoy!

Title: A great series

Review: Tim needs another five stars like Antarctica needs more snow, but his books are so good I'm glad to do it. His characters are entertaining, and the plots are great, but what especially makes these books exciting is the incredibly well thought-out twist and turns and plot devices. Not just good guys who are bad or bad guys who turn good, but how the very plot concepts take turns you might never have suspected. The action is almost non-stop, but relationships are developed and interesting sub-plots keep you deeply involved. Tim's books (I've read five so far) are enjoyable, clever, and truly difficult to put down. I've lost a lot of sleep thanks to him - but I don't mind at all.

Review: Blamed for multiple murders he didn't commit, Kyle Achilles is on the run with his dead brother's girlfriend. Will they be able to prove who the culprits were before they end up with lengthy prison sentences or worse?

Tim created a riveting plot with plenty of twists and turns, which will keep you guessing who is behind the murders. This is definitely a page turner and highly recommended!

Review: "Pushing Brilliance" is a very well composed spy THRILLER that's full of surprises and quite hard to put down. Tim Tigner put together a really clever, unique, and intense storyline in a short-chapter format that would often have me trying to squeeze in one or two more before having to finally put it down for "life stuff". The lead character, Kyle Achilles, is a "rock wall climber" who had a past that provided him with special CIA knowledge and protocol that seemingly borders on reality, such that I wouldn't be surprised if the author, Mr. Tigner, had himself been professionally involved with that agency at some point in his past. Mr. Tigner seamlessly weaves his intricate story lines, but was smart to keep their number within reason and keep the main theme on point, which for me, made it easier to dive straight back into the intense tension and thrill of Achilles' and Katya's adventures whenever I would pick it back up again. Thank you Mr. Tigner, I loved this book!
