In the wake of the solemn funeral proceedings of the esteemed Late Obong Enobong Umanah, also affectionately known as the 'king of boys', the Presbyterian church in Odukpani served as a gathering place for dignitaries and notable figures in Cross River state to pay their final respects. His legacy as a leader with exceptional qualities and a philanthropic spirit has left a lasting impact on the community of Akim Akim Clan in Odukpani local government Area.

The presence of distinguished individuals such as the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, Senators Asuquo Ekpenyong, Victor Ndoma Egba, Florence Ita Giwa and House of Reps members Rt. Hon. Bassey Akiba, Rt. Hon. Joseph Bassey, along with Barrister Alphonsus Eba, Chairman of APC Cross River State, House of Assembly members, Commissioners, Special Advisers

and dignitaries from religious, traditional and business class speaks volumes about the influence and respect Late Obong Umanah commanded in his lifetime. As an ex-officio member of the APC, his contributions to the largest party in Africa were invaluable.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor aptly noted that Late Obong Umanah's passing has created a void in the socio-political landscape of Cross River and beyond. His leadership, wisdom, and dedication to the betterment of his community will be sorely missed. The outpouring of grief and commemoration at his funeral underscores the profound impact he had on the lives of many.
