The Apex Dunukofia socio-cultural organization and highest decision making body known as Dunukofia National Congress on 9th August 2023 denied conferring the tittle “ Onyinyechukwu nyelu Dunukofia” to one Mr. Ishmael Emeka Udenka.

The Congress made up of statutory delegates and 5-man delegates representing each of the six towns of Dunukofia Local Government Area in a congress passed a resolution that Mr Emeka Udenka should immediately desist from bearing the title as no body under them recognizes such tittle.

The Apex group in a statement made to the press after her congress on Wednesday noted that for the purpose of clarity, Onyinyechukwu Nyelu Dunukofia is not known to Dunukofia clan as such title was never conferred to him by the clan as per records.

The group in a resolution warned that Mr Udenka should desist from using the title until such title is conferees on him in line with Dunukofia Chieftaincy Laws.
