But holding on to hope and trust

That the one you love will come back to you

And your bond will be stronger and true

Patience in love is not being passive

But being active and expressive

That you care for your partner's happiness

And support them in their progress

Patience in love is not being blind

But being kind and understanding

That your partner has their own flaws and needs

And you accept them as they are indeed

Patience in love is not being weak

But being meek and humble

That you admit your own mistakes and faults

And seek forgiveness and resolve

Patience in love is not being foolish

But being wise and prudent

That you know when to wait and when to act

And when to stay and when to retract

Patience in love is a gift from above

That shows your faith and devotion

That you are willing to endure and persevere

And cherish your love forevermore
