Subsidy: The FG will examine employees' salaries - AkpabioPublication date: July 19, 2023Written by Samson Atekojo Usman
According to Nigeria's Senate President, Godswill Obot Akpabio, the Federal Government will increase worker salaries to lessen the impact of ending gasoline subsidies.
Assuring Nigerians that the Federal Government was aware of the challenges being encountered as a result of the elimination of gasoline subsidies, Akpabio hosted the governor of Ekiti State, Abiodun Oyebanji, and members of the State's legislature in his office at the National Assembly on Tuesday.
He claimed that the withdrawal of fuel subsidies was a measure taken by the current administration to combat corruption because the fuel subsidy system was rife with wrongdoing.
