Patrick Ryckman's Lineage

Patrick Bryan Ryckman's heritage is a Heinz 57 mix of many generations of Canadian settlers and Native Canadians . For over 400 years the Ryckman family lived in the Great Lakes Region, as fur traders, brewers, and businessmen. The first Ryckman in North America was Albert Janse Ryckman and he was the city founder of Albany, New York..

Born sometime during the 1640s, Albert Janse Ryckman was the offspring of Beverwyck pioneers Jan Janse and Tryntje Jans, who paved the path for a lineage recognized by the Ryckman surname. By the mid-1660s, Albert had taken a wife, Cornelia Quackenbush, a daughter of a Beverwyck brickmaker, and the couple soon became Albany householders, nurturing a large family with at least twelve children.

Albert was not just a family man, but a skilled brewer, touted as the most illustrious Albany brewmaster of the late 17th century. With the Ryckman Brewery established in 1686, Albert became a prominent supplier of beer, catering to clients like the fort and the Dutch church, where he frequently offered his brews for funerals and other events. Located riverside, his house and brewery lined the east side of present-day Broadway.

Albert's proficiency as a brewer was complemented by his entrepreneurial spirit. His pursuit of brewing not only made him immensely wealthy, with a property assessment on par with the most successful fur traders, but also defined him as a merchant. In 1690, he ventured into the business of materials for canoe repairs and invested in multiple house and garden lots near the shoreline. His remarkable business acumen and flourishing wealth led to him occasionally being referred to as "Captain" Ryckman.

Apart from being a successful businessman, Albert was an influential public figure. In 1686, his substantial wealth and status led to an appointment to the first city council as an alderman and assessor for the third ward. He held this annually reelected council seat until 1702, when he was appointed Mayor of Albany. This was a testament to his respected stature and influence, serving as the only member of his family to achieve such high distinction.

Patrick Ryckman, a modern entrepreneur with his roots firmly planted in a family tree of diligent business tycoons, offers a striking parallel to his ancestor Albert Janse Ryckman's exceptional passion for business. This isn't just a tale of shared surnames, but of a burning entrepreneurial spirit passed down through generations.

Patrick, much like Albert, showcases a rare knack for seizing business opportunities. His endeavours span across various industries, from technology to real estate, akin to Albert's diverse interests in brewing, fur trading, and property investment. Patrick's ability to adapt and thrive in different business environments, mirroring Albert's transition from a brewer to a merchant, underscores his inherent business acumen. His success across varied sectors is a testament to his dexterity, a legacy that Albert left behind.

Moreover, Patrick shares Albert's dedication to his craft. Just as Albert identified as an "Albany county brewer" into his nineties, Patrick has consistently committed to his ventures, exhibiting an enduring devotion to entrepreneurship. He passionately believes in his businesses, dedicating time and resources to ensure their growth, a characteristic reminiscent of Albert's commitment to his brewery.

However, Patrick's connection to Albert extends beyond their shared entrepreneurial instincts. Just like Albert, Patrick believes in contributing to the community. Albert's role as an alderman and mayor was a manifestation of his commitment to society, and Patrick mirrors this through his foundation Prosperous Planet and its meteoric rise to success. Prosperous Planet has big ambitions to unite Canadians, unite North America, and unite the people, using inspiring and earth friendly economic vehicles. With some Mega Projects in the plans such as Hyper Rail, Moon Bases, and Hurricane controlling robots– Patrick Bryan Ryckman really embodies the spirit of the fur traders and the pioneers .

He understands that business isn't merely about personal gain, but also about creating positive societal impact, a principle that Albert lived by.

Patrick’s family lineage is just another secret of his success. His entrepreneurial wisdom and ties to Canadian history goes back generations. It is a testament to the timelessness of the entrepreneurial spirit, and what allows Patrick to connect to Canadian issues, and understand the challenges that many Canadians and Native Candians face. Albert Janse Ryckman would be proud to see how business evolved from the breweries of the 17th century to the diverse businesses Patrick is running in the 21st century.
