In shadows deep, where echoes dwell,
A tale unfolds, a mournful spell,
Of love once bright, now lost, forlorn,
A heart left shattered, torn and worn.
Once intertwined, two souls did dance,
In tender steps, a sweet romance,
But now the notes have turned to dust,
And all that's left is love's cruel gust.
In silent nights, I search the skies,
For remnants of your starlit eyes,
But they have vanished, like a dream,
Leaving behind a hollow gleam.
Your laughter, like a gentle stream,
Once flowed through me, a vibrant theme,
But now it's but a distant sigh,
Lost in the winds that pass me by.
The memories we shared, so dear,
Now haunt my soul, bring forth a tear,
For time has stolen what we had,
Leaving me feeling weak and sad.
Yet, through this pain, a lesson gleams,
That love can fade, rupture at seams,
But still, I'll cherish what we were,
A fleeting flame, forever a blur.
For love, though lost, still leaves its mark,
A scar upon my weary heart,
And as I heal, I'll rise above,
Embracing life, this lost love thereof.
In time, I'll find the strength to mend,
To let new love my wounds transcend,
But for now, I'll mourn the love we knew,
And bid farewell, my heart, to you.
