AN OPEN LETTER TO THE CHIEF OF TRADITIONAL COUNCIL AND EMIR OF ILORIN, DR. IBRAHIM SULU-GAMBARI.

SAVE OUR SOULS!

ALENIBORO COMMUNITY LANDLORDS CRY OUT

*The aforementioned community cries out for the intervention of the traditional monarch over their land encroachment by Balogun Alanamu.*

The association of landlords and landladies of ALENIBORO community, Ilorin west expressed our frown concern over the growing intimidation, harassment, attacks, threats and extortion as a result of encroachment of land already sold by previous Balogun Alanamu and other legally authorized owner.

Among towns and city in the nation as at this morning, the great city of ILORIN is rated and known for its peaceful coexistence.The Emirate is known to be respectful, accommodating, law abiding, fair and just; promotion and propagation of the Islamic religion which teaches “SALAM”: Peace.

However, it's now becoming otherwise where one of our respected traditional chief in Emirate ( Balogun Alanamu) in person of Alh. Usman Abubakar had invoked and encroached the land sold by his predecessors, insisting to landlords to pay another substantial amount in other to regain their ownership in insinuation of “ any landowner with documents signed by previous baloguns are not genuine owner but it's original if signed by him”.

This uncultured, dubious and unlawful act by Dr. Usman Abubakar ( Balogun Alanamu) has been front by one crude agent called “ *Alh. Tunde Agbarere* ” which the duo recruited tout from Ajia shaka-shaka Agaka area who has been tormenting, intimidating and preventing the genuine land owner to develop their land, these known deadly thugs has been threating the peace of Aleniboro community.

Therefore, we appeal to traditional chiefs council and seek the immediate intervention of HRH Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari Emir of Ilorin to curb this unlawful and uncultured activities that might tarnish the respect and believe people have toward our traditional leadership as the council usually justly does in every situation related to this.

In reminder, “power is transient, life is temporal” If this unlawful act is neglected, one day chief will surely join his ancestors, another successor will emerge in the same family which he might also wear the shoe of his immediate Predecessor, if the predecessors later recorded success on this hypocrite act.

We urge traditional council to swiftly scrutinize the growing misuse of power over poor who labored hard to become a landowner to be cheated.

The association so much belief in the council judgment and promise to abide with the decision of Emir on this issue...
