BE WARNED

With the unfortunate events that Rejoice experienced, she never trusted anyone. Due to her experience, Rejoice developed stomach ulcer because of her traumas.

Rejoice life became a triangle; Home, School, and Church (Repeat). She associated herself with four true friends, though she was very careful around them. On a Saturday afternoon, a huge man who was light skinned and tall entered her room and laid down on Rejoice as she was having her nap. She tried to stand up from the bed but couldn't, she tried to scream but there was no use. Rejoice asked God to give her the strength to push the man away from her body.

Rejoice got strength and screamed out loud, "JESUS." As she pushed the man away, he disappeared. She then realized that it was not an ordinary man, but a strange being who was disguised as a human to take her life slowly.

Whenever Rejoice sleeps at night, her breathing becomes very heavy every day.

In December 2014, Rejoice went to pay her light bill. When she got home she paid the taxi driver the amount they agreed on earlier. The driver charged her more than what they bargained for. Rejoice called out for help from her friends and neighbors. The driver became violent, as soon as Rejoice noticed his aggression she decided to give him more than what he asked for. The Driver refused to collect it, he was so stubborn and adamant about it, so he tried to fight with her friends and neighbors, he then saw that he was over powered.

The driver left angrily, and they thought he was not going to come back. Unfortunately, Rejoice saw soldiers in a van alongside with the driver from the roof top. She was so scared that she ran into her apartment. One of the soldiers knocked and bang the door, shouting, "OPEN THE DOOR". Rejoice was so scared for her life, she did not know what to do. She then heard her neighbor's voice to open the door, she reluctantly opened.

As soon as she opened the door, she was hit on the face. Rejoice fell to the ground and as she looked up, an AK 47 was pointing at her. The soldier grabbed her by her leg and dragged her out of her apartment. Rejoice looked down the stairs from the corridor and saw the other soldiers beating her friend with a pipe on his back faced down.

Rejoice lost hope that nobody could save her and she saw her life flashed before her, she thought she was going to die. The soldier dragged Rejoice through the stairs and in the process she dislocated her ankle.

As she was dragged to the ground floor, they used their gun to hit her, they were about to use a bamboo stick on her when she shouted out loud with confidence and aggression, "DONT USE THAT ON MY BODY". As Rejoice yelled she got slapped on the face twice and was kicked on her back. People gathered round to watch the show, most of the people gathered around were supporting this evil and wicked deed. They never bothered to hear the other side of the story simply because these students are Nigerians.

An old woman who was a friend and neighbor to Rejoice, pleaded with the soldiers to let them go. This wicked act was not acceptable in the country. The soldiers knew that they did wrong to these students. They collected Rejoice money that she was using as her up-keep at school and still demanded more. Rejoice bluntly told them she has no other money, it took a while before they released she and her friends.

Immediately after this act, Rejoice called her parents to report the incident. Her parents hearts bled out and cursed them for what they did. Rejoice did not finish her semester because of what she went through, she went back to Nigeria after two days.

Psalm 72:14 says, "He will rescue them from oppression and violence. Their blood will be precious in his sight."

One year later, Rejoice wrote her final exams for the semester. She went to her apartment, took her bath, ate and watched movies. As she went to bed, she plugged her phone and charger. In the middle of the night, her phone light went on, as she saw the reflection she became alert. She reached out to her phone and saw that it was unplugged same as the laptop. She was confused and asked herself how possible it was because she locked her doors.

Rejoice plugged them back and and went back to bed. Suddenly, there was a strange atmosphere in her room. She felt a strange presence and fear gripped her, She couldn't see who it was but she felt the presence moving towards her bed and stopped at her reading table. Rejoice was so scared to open her mouth to pray. The strange presence came to harm her because she was done with her first degree, but he devil did not succeed over her life.

Rejoice really suffered in her university days, it was not really easy for her, and this affected her studies. However, she came out with a good degree and she finished well.

The vow her uncles made about her school had a lot of effect on her but their plans did not succeed.
