A 12-day Everest base camp trek begins from Kathmandu to Lukla scenic flight and ends with flying out from Lukla, but a 9-day helicopter return trek follows the regular EBC trekking itinerary to the base camp and Kala Patthar, and then flies to Kathmandu from Gorakshep on a helicopter.
