A fiery wrath that burns within,

A thirst for justice to begin,

A cry for retribution loud,

A vow to make the guilty bow.

The heart that's broken seeks to heal,

But vengeance is the only meal,

The pain that's felt is hard to bear,

And justice seems so far, unfair.

The rage that's felt is hard to tame,

The hurt that's caused is not the same,

The one who caused it must be punished,

And justice must be truly finished.

The darkness that surrounds the soul,

Is hard to shake, to make it whole,

The light that once was shining bright,

Is now extinguished, out of sight.

But vengeance is a double-edged sword,

It can bring justice, but also discord,

It can heal the heart, but also break,

It can give justice, but also take.

So think before you seek revenge,

And weigh the cost, the pain, the change,

For vengeance is a noble cause,

But also dangerous, with many flaws.
