Chief Whip of the Cross River State House of Assembly and Member Representing Boki II State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Hilary Ekpang Bisong JP, has described women as the bedrock and fulcrum of the family and society at large. He expressed this in a message marking the International Women's Day.

"On this suspicious day of the International Women's Day, I join the global community to celebrate women all over the world. They are Mothers, wives and sisters.

"It is important to take time to recount the many sacrifices and steadfastness. Women are indeed, the fulcrum and the bedrock of every family and nation at large, as there is a saying, No woman, No Nation."

To my beloved wife, my dear mother and the entire women the world over, I say, HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!
